9th July 2012. As every single year, the island of Majorca celebrates one of the biggest events of the summer season, the Copa del Rey de Vela (King´s Saling Cup Regatta). Between the 16th and the 21th of July, the Balearic island will become one of the global centres of the water sports and the focus of attention for the sportsmen and sportswomen, enterpreneurs and people who will gather everyday in the Royal Nautical Club of the capital city.
In its thirty-first edition, the Copa del Rey has been brought forward fifteen days to its usual date due to the celebration of the Olympic Games in London. But this will not minimize the importance of the event, which during one week will release all the beauty and possibilities that offers an island as Majorca.
