This impressive mountain is located in the northwest of the Island of Majorca.
The Tramontana spreads from the Formentor peninsula to the Dragonera Island.

Sited in the mountain there are three big reservoirs: the military dam of Puig Major and those of Cuber and Gorg Blau.
This calcareous sierra has karstic zones with caves and steep canyons. Its average temperature is 4 to 5 degrees below those of the centre of the Island. Sierra Tramontana with its extraordinary and beautiful vistas and landscapes is one of the most attractive spots of the island.
